Prof. Heuy-Dong Kim Appointed as President of AFMA

Prof. Heuy-Dong Kim of Kyungpook National University has been appointed as the President of the Asian Fluid Mechanics Association (AFMA).

Established in 1980 by H. Sato, R. Narasimha, and Peiyuan Chou, AFMA aims to promote academic collaboration and the exchange of cutting-edge research in fluid mechanics across Asian countries.

During his six-year term, Professor Kim will lead AFMA’s efforts to strengthen regional research networks and enhance the global visibility of Asian fluid mechanics. He is also expected to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and greater participation of young researchers in the field.
